This waterproof bucket provides vitamins and minerals in a highly palatable molassed form. Just place it in the paddock, in an old car tyre to prevent horses knocking it over, and they will access it as they need it. A 10kg bucket will last the average 500kg horse 3-4 months, at a feed rate of 100g/day and costs around £10.50/bucket. We recommend that if you are feeding groups of horses, it is better to have at least two buckets in the field to minimise competition and ensure accessibility for all the group.

If you have doubts about the overall nutritional quality of the grazing available, supplementation with the Badminton Feed Block (20kg) could be the answer. As well as vitamins and minerals, it contains 12% protein. This also comes in a weather-resilient bucket and will last the average 500kg horse up to six weeks, at a feed rate of 500g/day. It retails at around £12.75 and is ideal for all horses and ponies at grass and in light to medium work.

Do, however, carefully monitor your horse as excessive consumption of the block or bucket may indicate that you need to increase his hard feed intake.
